Currently Fort McMurray is still in the first stages of clean up. We now have the office open and our team is diligently working toward getting H. Wilson up to full running capacity once again. Cleaning of the office and shop is completed and we are ensuring all out computers and phone systems are working.
The decisions to start up various jobs are tied to how our clients and the Municipality we are working towards restarting, rebuilding and when the authorities say we can go. There is still a lot to do before Fort McMurray is open to “business as usual”. The fires are out but the aftermath is with us daily. A lot of employees are dealing with personal property insurance issues and we support them to take care of them self’s first. At the same time to be prepared to return to work when your foreman or superintendent calls.
Many of the businesses in the community are still working to open. The boil water advisory is still on and with that, a lot of restaurants are not able to open. This will take some time.
We do understand how difficult this is for you sitting at home wondering what is going on as this is your livelihood as well. Unfortunately the decisions are out of our hands and we are waiting alongside you.
